Our History.

Destiny Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. was founded in September 2001 by Pastor Scott George with a new and innovative food assistance program to financially assist the "working poor" in Central Florida. What is now the Greater Orlando Food Outreach began to offer a long-term food subsidy program directly to families in the community just days before the tragedy of September 11th.

Thousands of families have joined the Greater Orlando Food Outreach, a program that provides them with access to high quality foods for a small contribution per item. This "hand up," as opposed to a "handout," restores dignity to families by actively involving them in their road to self-sufficiency.
