ARE YOU IN NEED and NEED HELP?
FOOD ASSISTANCE

Members of the Greater Orlando Food Outreach receive free bread, on a weekly basis, as well as unlimited access to hundreds of other food items, each for a small contribution. Families who receive Food Stamps may use their benefits at the Greater Orlando Food Outreach to ensure they last a full month.
How to become a memeber of the Greater Orlando Food Outreach
(qualifications are income-based - see application for details)
- New members are welcome anytime Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm
- Fill out a membership application
(or bring one with you) - Pay a $10 annual membership fee and receive a $10 food voucher
(60+ receive a free lifetime membership)
CLOTHING ASSISTANCE

The Compassion Thrift Center provides families with clothing, footwear, and household items at low cost. Click here for a price sheet.

Monday - Saturday 9:00am-6:00pm
EMERGENCY FOOD / CLOTHING ASSISTANCE
For families in crisis situations who are in need of an emergency supply of food or clothing and unable to contribute, we offer food and clothing vouchers.
** Vouchers are given on a case-by-case basis. **
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00am-2:00pm, families may visit the Compassion Outreach Center to apply for Emergency Food/Clothing Assistance.

APPLICATION ASSISTANCE
Do you need assistance with applying for Food Stamps, Medicaid, and/or Florida KidCare? Come to the Compassion Outreach Center to receive one-on-one assistance with your application. Make sure to bring all of the necessary information, including:
- Your family's most recent tax return (Form 1040) OR
- Your Wage and Earning Statement (W-2 Form) OR
- Current Pay Stubs (covering the last 4 weeks)
- The cost to add your children to your employer’s health insurance coverage.
- Social Security Cards and Birth Certificates
- Monthly expenses (rent, utilities, auto expenses, etc.)

Medical Care for Uninsured Children

FREE CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CLINIC
The Compassion Children's Clinic is a free medical clinic for uninsured children ages 4-18. The clinic is offered on the first Sunday of each month from 9:00am-3:00pm.
- Child(ren) must be age 4-18
- Child(ren) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Child(ren) must live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level

Rent / Utitlity Assistance

APPLICATION ASSISTANCE
The Compassion Outreach Center does not directly provide rent/utility assistance. However, we do assist families in locating organizations throughout the community who do provide this resource. Most organizations who provide rent and/or utility assistance require applicants to prove that their inability to pay is caused by an unforseen challenge, and that they will be able to pay their rent/utility bill next month.

FREE FAMILY COUNSELING
The Compassion Children's Counseling Center provides free family counseling to families in Orange County with children ages 10-17 with behavioral issues.

EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE
The Compassion Outreach Center The Compassion Outreach Center provides basic employment assistance services, including access to resume-building software, phone, Internet, and fax.
In November 2008, we will begin to offer weekly Job Skills Seminars, as well as one-on-one assistance by appointment.
