Greater Orlando Food Outreach
The Greater Orlando Food Outreach provides low-income families with a long-term food subsidy program. We serve over 7,000 families each month through our food assistance program by subsidizing their monthly grocery budget by 60-75%.
Families receive free bread everyday, once a week, and free produce based on availability. We offer these staple food items at no cost in response to the growing prevalence of obesity among low-income families. Low cost foods are often high in sugars and carbohydrates, so many low-income families are unable to make nutritious choices. This program gives families a healthy head start each week!
Families also have unlimited access to hundreds of other food items, each for a small contribution. For example, all boxes of cereal are 98-cents or less. Members are able to choose what they need for their family and contribute for what they receive. This partnership allows us to serve thousands of families each month as opposed to a few hundred.
Hours of Service:
Monday - Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm

This clinic is contracted through the Department of Health and operated by a team of volunteer doctors and nurses who see children for physicals and basic sick visits. Prescription assistance and follow-up care is also provided to each child who is seen at the clinic.
The Compassion Children's Clinic is offered on the first Sunday of each month from 9:00am-3:00pm in the Compassion Outreach Center. Children must be age 4-18, be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

At the clinic, families are provided with assistance in the application process for Medicaid and/or Florida KidCare, because our goal is to find each child a medical home.
